Erasmus+ 2023
Moate Business College has a long-standing tradition of planning and implementing successful Erasmus+ Projects for our students; and in 2023 this was the case again. During the months of February – April 2023 some 24 students travelled to various European countries spending three weeks gaining invaluable work experiences, sampling cultures and meeting many dynamic people.
Our host partners in the locations of Palma – Majorca, Torreo Pacheo – Spain, Vilnus – Lithuania, Timisoara- Romania, carried out wonderful work on the ground to ensure all our students gained the most from their Erasmus+ experience. It was great to be able to reconnect with our colleagues in Lithuania and Romania once more this year.
The 24 students who were studying a variety of courses here in the college, undertook 3 weeks work placements in many different and relevant settings. These included Art Galleries and Workshops, Tourism Businesses, Medical Centres, Sports and Wellness Centres, Educational Institutions and Childcare Facilities. These work placements allowed the students to gain invaluable and relevant experience for their studies in Moate Business College and future careers.
One Childcare student who participated on the Erasmus+ programme commented ‘I am a childcare student who got the opportunity to go on Erasmus+ to Murcia, Spain and work in a childcare facility over there. I really enjoyed this work experience. I got along very well with the teachers and children. I am very grateful to MBC for this opportunity, and I think that it is great for students to see what work can be like in a different country’
