What are the Entry Requirements?

All of our Level 5 courses require Leaving Certificate standard or QQI Level 4. English language requirement of a B2.2 standard where English is not your first language. Basic I.T. Skills required. All mature students (23+) without these qualifications are welcome to apply. All of our Level 6 courses require a minimum QQI Level 5 qualification. For some courses e.g. Art & Design, it may be necessary to present a mini portfolio of work. For specific course requirements see individual course pages by clicking here. When does the next Course Programme begin?

What are the Course Fees?

There is a registration fee of €90 for all courses. 

In addition, the Government have imposed a €200 Government Levy on all Post Leaving Certificate courses. The following categories of student are exempt from paying this contribution:

  1. Full current medical card holders;

There are no fees for tuition. However, charges exist to cover the costs of the following items: examination fees, workshops and registration charges by professional bodies. Please contact info@moatebc.com for information on individual course costs.

Students undertaking any full time Further Education course may apply for a means tested PLC maintenance grant. Application forms are available from www.susi.ie from May of the year of entry.

 

What should I do if I have a Learning Support need?

Students who have a learning support need are encouraged to provide the College with any relevant information at the time of application. Any information provided is treated confidentially and does not prejudice the application. Is there a Grant available?
