Fundraising for Irish Cancer Society

Our Digital Marketing students have been busy coordinating a fundraising initiative in aid of The Irish Cancer Society (@IrishCancerSoc).

Throughout the month of March, students on the Digital Marketing course have been completing 7,662 steps per day. Why 7,662? This represents the number of nights that nursing staff provided care to cancer patients in 2020. 

Friday, March 26th was #DaffodilDay. To mark the event, our students encouraged all staff and students within MBC to help in raising awareness by wearing yellow, changing their MS Teams background to yellow for online classes and to share their posts on social media, using #DaffodilDay and tagging @moatebusinesscollege in their posts.

Students also hosted a Virtual Coffee Morning on March 26th, again to help in raising awareness and encouraging staff to donate the price of a tea/coffee and a bun to their JustGiving page.

Students had an excellent response, raising €1,000, and wish to thank everybody for their generous donations.
