The sun was out and only the birds could be heard chirping as the staff and students at Moate Business College walked a mile to the sound of silence. Participants were reminded that their speed was not what mattered on the day, but rather their smiles and silence. This seemed to resonate with everyone as they walked along the Old Rail Trail Greenway in Moate to raise much needed funds for Women’s Aid.
This fundraiser was organised by the Tourism with Business Level 6 students as part of their Event Management module. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all most sincerely for your generous donations and participation in making this a very successful event. #SilentMile
